I'm writing this report without the aid of the score book- so will update the report later.

Hawkley batted well on a fine batting strip. Major contributions from Muscles, Limpet, Dapper, Johnny Retro and Burks. Hawkley posted a respectable 232 against some very good bowling

Everyone contributed and there were some fine sixes scored much to the delight of the home crowd- apart from the lady who had her windscreen smashed!

After tea Hawkley took to the field with a slightly under strength bowling side. Good bowling by Little Chris, Nipper, Burks and Viv tried to keep the batsmen down, but they were just too good. Little Chris must get a mention for heroic efforts in the field who is starting to replace the speed and ground coverage of Forest Marvin.

Hawkley lost - but it was a lovely afternoon for playing cricket.

Thanks to the Exiles for being such a friendly team- and yet again we have another team we need to beat next year.
